Great American Traditions
This year’s presidential election in america was a firm reminder of how great freedom can be. Our four fathers stood for values that to this day remain important even at this juncture ( our real fathers are all actually divorced and remarried). The founders of this great nation, and even the founders of the world, not to be confused with god, delivered man two things, whose greatness can never be challenged – Pizza and Beer.
Their cause, championed by all of mankind, (save beer to the underage kids who illegally consume it). Now dont get us wrong, we have done our share of underage drinking, but not without a serious disappreciation for what we were actually doing. And while pizza can be consumed by children at chucky cheese as beer cannot (they do serve beer at chucky cheese! we were there last week!) that does not make it better or worse, just different. And it is only when both are consumed together that one will realize their full potential.
Today as we sit enjoying a cold one and watching a good american football game, the red white and blue on the side of our pabst cans reminds us of this great american tradition that allows us to get boldy trashed, while still retaining our abilities to eat greasy bread and cheese, with anything on top we choose, and not use any utensils at all.
So since its pabst this evening, a word about a great american legend. While pabst was headed for bankrupty, the good people of america rose up and saved it from certain doom. counter culture hippies everywhere, mostly portland, nashville, austin and richmond (if i left your hip city out please chime in) found pabsts cheap price, poor taste and lack of in your face advertising campaigns (if you have to convince people to drink your beer it cant be very good) were exactly what they were looking for when finding a beer that would get them discretely loose and within their means. now brewed by miller, the beer still retains its target demographic and all the great aspects that kept it alive. and with budweiser being bought by euros (fuckin sellouts – p.s. we still love you) they will be the largest american owned brewery.
We got a suitcase of the stuff for 12 bucks. Bring on the pie!
