Mojo's, Cary St.
Mojo’s on Cary St. right behind the GRC dorms serves up almost every kind of food imaginable, operates as a late night dive bar and does a pretty damn good job at it too. From several types of cheese steaks to vegetarian humus plates and portabella mushroom wraps, they serve up every type of food imaginable. Granted, none of it is really that great, but it gets the job done. It blows my mind that I missed their pizza menu for the four years that I’ve lived here.
My roommate came home one day with a small pizza. He told me it was good, not great. Just as I expected from Mojo’s. However, had I asked for a slice of his pizza, I would not have gone out on a limb to order my own and find out just how bad this pizza could be.

Upon opening the box, I am immediately reminded of Domino’s Pizza, and I think I would have rather spend my money there.
The pungent overwhelming stench of too much oregano dominates the aroma of this pizza. The crust is rubbery and tough, and the cheese is a typical solid blanket of yellows. It bites like a frozen pizza as your teeth easily rip through the cheese and crust. The sauce is a cheap, sugary tomato sauce with no defining traits.
I forced myself to eat half of the 14″ pie and gave the rest away to friends. As a free snack, I suppose it would be edible, but I wouldn’t recommend this pizza to anyone. Mojo’s does most things relatively well, just not pizza. I applaud them for trying though. -gRant

they’ve redone their menu recently, and their pizza, i might suggest going back and seeing if it’s changed much (i’ve heard mixed reviews)…still the best cheese fries i’ve ever had…
