one more reason not to go to short pump

LEDO Pizza & Pasta.  Their concept is simple.  ”…to provide high quality food at a great value in a comfortable, family atmosphere.”  Sounds like I’ve got a real generic stomach ache ahead…

My boss kept telling me that Ledo Pizza is the best pizza he’s had in town.  ”Everything else tastes the same to me, except this place,” he says, so I took off work a little early today to check out Ledo’s and to kill some Christmas shopping at the same time.

Well, if you needed one more reason not to drive out to Short Pump, I’ll let you know that there is a good chance that there is no good pizza out there.  Ledo’s promises “real people, real food, real fun,”  as if I have been accustomed to dealing with restaurants run by robots serving space food and absolutely no jungle gyms for my kids to play on.  I have my reasons for harboring a prejudice hate for chains like this, the pizza is almost always awful.

At first bite there is a buttery flavor to the cheese reminiscent of Romanza.  Not bad, but the crust is a fucking joke here.  I’m not even going to be nice.  This pizza sucks.  The crust breaks up upon picking up a square like a heavy ass Saltine cracker.  It’s dry and lifeless.  I peeled back some of the cheese to get a good taste of the sauce because I couldn’t taste any.  The sauce doesn’t taste like anything, just a dull paste.

And fuck square pizzas anyway.

Although Sarah paid, so I can’t really complain.
