8 1/2 White Pizza / Calzone
I like a nice 8 1/2 every now and then. Their food is good and I enjoy how different the pizza is from most places around here, and most mid-atlantic places in general. I am pretty narrow with most of the pizza I review, usually just getting a plain cheese, regular marinara. A lot of people would consider it pretty boring. Every now and again I mix it up.
I happen to love the white pizza at 8 1/2. Eating it is so simple. Thin, with cheese nice and crispy on top in some places, a nice spicy kick to it, even the way they cut it, makes it seem fun and like more of a snack to me. If you haven’t tried it, you should.
On a side note, a buddy has been tipping us off to their breakfast pizza. I see a definite review in the future.
Last order of business, this being a spontaneous update. The 8 1/2 calzone marinara is awesome. Its not as pasty as most stuff you find at bigger restaurants and chain places, and it has a very nice light feeling to it. A little oily, but I think that’s a prerequisite when you are eating their food.
